Man City interested in Porto midfielder Gonzalez

Manchester City are interested in signing midfielder Nico Gonzalez from Porto.

The 23-year-old has a release clause in his contract but City are not prepared to meet it.

It remains to be seen if Porto are willing to negotiate that clause to a lower fee.

The Spaniard is not the only target City have for a new midfielder before the deadline.

Their interest in Douglas Luiz on loan from Juventus and Atalanta's Ederson has reported.
