Getafe vs Sevilla
Match preview
Getafe were outstanding against Real Sociedad on Sunday night, recording a 3-0 victory at the Reale Arena, only their fifth in the league this season, to move up to 14th in the table.
Jose Bordalas' side are now three points clear of the relegation zone and just four points off 11th place, underlining the importance of their result last time out, and will take a five-match unbeaten run in all competitions into this clash.
It has been a successful start to 2025 for the capital club, who booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey and have taken seven points from their last three league games against Las Palmas, Barcelona and Real Sociedad.
If Getafe can improve their goalscoring over the next few weeks, they should move up the table, as they have the second-best defensive record in the league this term, conceding just 17 goals in 21 games.
Getafe have only been beaten twice in front of their own supporters this season, and they will welcome a Sevilla side who have won just two of their 10 league games away from home.
Sevilla, on the other hand, are unbeaten in La Liga this year, drawing with Valencia and Espanyol before beating Girona 2-1, and their 27 points from 21 games leave them 12th in the table.
Los Nervionenses have a record of seven wins, six draws and eight defeats in La Liga this term, and are just three points behind sixth-placed Mallorca, with a European spot within their grasp.
Garcia Pimienta's side have been strong at home this season but have struggled on the road, taking just nine points from 10 games, while conceding 20 goals away from their own stadium in 2024-25.
Sevilla recorded a 1-0 win over Getafe when the two teams met in the reverse fixture earlier this season, while they also won 1-0 in the 2023-24 campaign.
However, Getafe have also won two of their last four top-flight encounters and this will be an intriguing encounter between two sides who will be feeling good at the moment.

Team News
Getafe will be without the services of Allan Nyom due to a muscle problem, while Mauro Arambarri remains a doubt with a muscle problem of his own.
The home side will also be without the services of Omar Alderete, who is suspended after picking up a yellow card in the 3-0 win over Real Sociedad.
Juan Berrocal is likely to benefit from Alderete's absence by starting in the centre of defence, while Carles Perez, who scored twice against Real Sociedad, is likely to come into the side in place of Alex Sola, although Borja Mayoral could return to the bench for the home side.
For Sevilla, Isaac Romero and Adria Pedrosa will be back in the squad after serving their suspensions against Espanyol.
Garcia Pimienta's side did not suffer any fresh fitness problems last time out, but will be without the services of Kike Salas, Joan Jordan, Rafa Mir and Tanguy Nianzou on Saturday afternoon.
Romero's return could see Peque Fernandez drop to the bench against Getafe, but Dodi Lukebakio, who has scored nine times in La Liga during an impressive campaign, will get another start out wide.
Possible starting lineup
Getafe possible starting lineup:
Soria; Iglesias, Duarte, Berrocal, Rico; Perez, Milla, Dakonam, Coba; Uche, Yildirim
Sevilla possible starting lineup:
Nyland; Sanchez, Bade, Gudelj, Pedrosa; Sow, Lokonga, Saul; Lukebakio, Romero, Vargas
