On January 26th local time, Guardiola talked about the team's latest injuries at the post-match press conference between Manchester City and Chelsea.

When asked how long Doku will be out, Guardiola said: "For a while, I don't know how long, but he will be out for a while."

"I think he will definitely not be ready for Wednesday's game (against Club Brugge in the Champions League). As for whether he can make it to Arsenal, we will have to wait and see."

When asked whether Stones' return from injury is important to solving Manchester City's current predicament, Guardiola said: "Of course! We will continue to solve these problems. Husanov should not have played, he still needs time to adapt, which is not easy."

"Before the Chelsea game, he had just arrived from a new country and hadn't had much communication with his teammates or had a training session to understand what we wanted to do on the pitch and the game we wanted to have.

"It's not easy to start like this. Put yourself in his shoes and imagine what would have happened if we had gone through what Husanov went through."

"Reuben (Ruben Dias) is not here, Nathan (Ake) is not here, fortunately Akanji is still fit, and Stones can also help us in the Champions League in midweek."

“Some players are reliable and some are more prone to injury than others.”

"Hopefully this time he will be better and we will give him more time. He played really well in those 35 to 40 minutes and now he has to be ready for Wednesday."

"We also have to give Nathan and Reuben more time to recover as quickly as possible. But the situation is still difficult and it will continue to be difficult."
