Mikel Arteta on Declan Rice's performances of late:
"His intent, his purpose, especially attacking the positions he’s taking, how he’s driving with the ball, there’s another bite to his game.
"Today he could have scored two good goals, he had some big, big open chances to score. Very happy, we have to affect the games from those positions and he’s capable of doing that.
"The demands of the game, he’s played so much football and moved from one position to the other. All the factors, but the good thing with Declan is that he’s so consistency, always there, so reliable. He can create those sparks and moments in the opposition box. It’s a great thing to have.
"He needs that [coming out of the team] like the others, sometimes related to freshen up. Sometimes it’s related to say: we need another level and if not, somebody else is going to be there. So everybody has to be on their toes. Dec is not different to that. When he’s fresher and in the condition that he is, we can see he’s a big player for us."
