Chris Wood is reportedly close to following his Nottingham Forest team-mate Murillo by agreeing a new deal at the City Ground.
The New Zealand international and his representatives have reached a verbal agreement with Forest following talks about a possible two-year contract, according to The Athletic.
Wood’s existing contract at the City Ground was due to expire at the end of the current season.
Murillo penned a new four-and-a-half-year deal earlier on Tuesday.
Wood is happy in Nottingham despite MLS and Saudi interest and is in the form of his career at 33 having scored 14 goals in 22 Premier League appearances for Forest this season.
