Latest News: Harvey Barnes (thigh), Jamaal Lascelles (knee) and Callum Wilson (hamstring) remain on the sidelines for the Magpies, while the visit of Bournemouth likely comes too soon for the almost-fit Nick Pope (knee). Fabian Schar will be assessed after missing out in midweek with a "nasty illness", meanwhile. The Swiss stopper did actually train on Thursday but "was not 100% himself", according to his manager, so Howe's three-into-two conundrum at centre-half may be easier to solve for one more Gameweek at least. The Newcastle boss may also have to consider Sven Botman's ability to handle successive starts given the quick turnaround but the Dutchman did something similar last week, so there'll be hope he can get through this one without any repercussions. Schar/Botman aside, Howe has gone with pretty much the same starting XI over the last four Gameweeks - the only difference being a two-game stint for Kieran Trippier at right-back when Tino Livramento was ill. With a comfortable midweek win over Wolves allowing Howe the luxury of taking off some key bodies early, there's a good chance we'll see the same team again on Saturday lunchtime.
Bournemouth

Doubts: Hill 25%

Latest News: Andoni Iraola confirmed that the Cherries would not get any of their injured players back this weekend, so Evanilson (foot), Enes Unal (knee), Adam Smith (muscle), Luis Sinisterra (hamstring), Alex Scott (knee), Julian Araujo (hamstring), Marcos Senesi (quad) and Marcus Tavernier (hamstring) are all still sidelined. Even worse, James Hill (hamstring) was added to the injury list in midweek and new loan signing Julio Soler is now at the South American U-20 Championship. Kepa Arrizabalaga is available, at least, having been ineligible to face parent club Chelsea on Tuesday. Iraola admitted in his pre-match press conference that his starting XI would be fairly easy to predict as a result of the myriad absences (Max Aarons and Philip Billing leaving the club on loan further whittles down the options), with Justin Kluivert set to return to the line-up at the expense of Hill. Lewis Cook looks poised to cover at right-back. The only dilemma for the Cherries boss is who lines up between the posts but he has previously shown no hesitation in bringing back Kepa regardless of how well Mark Travers has played. If you're wondering about Kepa's Gameweek 20 benching, that was due to his partner giving birth to twins a few days earlier.
