AC Milan are cooling their interest in Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, according to Sky in Italy.

If they do not pursue Rashford, Milan would be free to move for Manchester City defender Kyle Walker.

As per Serie A rules, Milan have one spot available for a UK or Albanian player – and Walker now appears to be a more viable target.

As for their pursuit of a forward, Sky Italy are reporting Milan are exploring a potential deal for Chelsea’s Joao Felix.

The finances involved for Rashford have made it an extremely difficult deal to do.

As it stands, it’s understood there have been no official offers for Rashford.

United are aware his representatives have spoken to clubs in Europe over a loan deal until the end of the season.

Rashford hasn’t played for United since December 12th.

Head Coach Ruben Amorim’s messaging has been unchanged. Rashford’s absence is a footballing decision and the onus is on him to get back into first-team contention.

Comparisons have been drawn with Jadon Sancho last season – however, we are told the two situations are completely different. There has been no falling out between Amorim and Rashford.

The player and his camp have driven a possible departure for Rashford following his interview where he said it was time for a new challenge.

It is clear, however, that if Rashford is not part of United’s long-term plans, he needs to be playing this season to enhance his market value.
