Bourgoin-Jallieu vs Lyon
Match preview
While the scoreline suggests a comfortable victory for Bourgoin-Jallieu in their latest French Cup outing, the key attacking statistics reveal a mixture of clinical finishing and resolute defending, aided by their opponents' wastefulness.
Despite enjoying just 32% of the possession to Martigues' 68%, FCBJ registered seven shots on target, with Pierre Kohser and Celal Bozkurt both finding the back of the net, while Mahame Siby's 23rd-minute strike for the visitors - their only goal in six attempts - only softened the blow in an otherwise one-sided affair.
It has been a dominant run for Bourgoin-Jallieu in the competition this season, with a 4-0 thrashing of St-Just St-Rambert followed by a 3-0 win over Olympique de Valence in the previous rounds.
But as the saying goes, 'the higher you climb, the steeper the path', and they now face their toughest test yet against a quality side who have won six of their last eight matches in all competitions.
Bourgoin-Jallieu go into the match off the back of a 1-1 draw with Espaly in the Championnat National 3, their first stalemate in nine matches, having previously recorded six wins and two defeats.
Lyon, meanwhile, go into the game on the back of a 2-1 league defeat to Brest last weekend, their second top-flight loss in three matches.
The other setback in that run was a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain, a side they also beat 2-1 in last season's French Cup final.
With the win over Feignies-Aulnoye, Pierre Sage's side are still chasing a first Coupe de France trophy since 2011-12 and will be looking to move closer to that goal by overcoming their hosts.
It is nothing new for Lyon, who have reached this stage of the competition in each of the last six seasons, reaching the quarter-finals on four occasions.
Les Gones have won three of their last five away games in all competitions and, despite their recent setback, overcoming Bourgoin-Jallieu will not be seen as a herculean task.

Team News
Bozkurt remains the main threat, with the striker finding the net in every round of the competition so far, including a brace against Martigues to take his tally to five, and he is expected to lead the line again against Lyon.
He could be joined up front by Kohser, who also netted twice in that emphatic win, with coach Eric Guichard likely to reignite their partnership in a two-man attack for this midweek clash.
For the visitors, Nemanja Matic is out with a viral illness.Said Benrahma could start on Wednesday after coming off the bench last weekend and the Algerian, who scored in the win over Feignies-Aulnoye, will be keen to add to his goal tally in the competition.
Possible starting lineup
Bourgoin-Jallieu possible starting lineup:
Ray; Mbae, Nirlo, Mendy; Moumeni, Mendy, Mecheri, Imbert; Moujetzky; Kohser, Bozkurt
Lyon possible starting lineup:
