Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo saluted the efforts of his players as they moved up to second with a 1-1 draw against Liverpool at the City Ground.
Chris Wood put the hosts in front early on before Liverpool substitute Diogo Jota levelled with his first touch from a corner by fellow substitute Kostas Tsimikas, with Forest then hanging on for a hard-earned point.
"It was a good game, entertaining," Nuno told TNT Sports. "In the first half I thought we were organised, didn't allow too many situations. The second half was like ping-pong.
"When Liverpool became stronger, when they had space, that was a dangerous moment. But I'm very proud of the team, the way they worked, the way they ran, up and down."
On Wood's goal, he added: "It was a good finish. The pass from Anthony [Elanga] isolated him and he was clinical."
There was also praise for goalkeeper Matz Sels, who made a string of vital saves late on. "He is in a good moment, full of confidence and keeping us in games. We are very thankful."
