Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly accepted Al Nassr’s offer to extend his spell at the Riyadh based club and is close to signing a multi-million euro renewal with the Roshn Saudi League side.
According to information from Saudi media outlet Al Khobar, and Portugal’s O Jogo, Cristiano, who will turn 40 in February, will extend his contract with the Riyadh club until June 2026 and will receive more than 200 million euros in exchange.
The Portuguese star arrived at Al Nassr in January 2023 and initially penned a contract until June 2025.
According to the report published by Al Sharq News, with data from Bloomberg and Forbes, Cristiano was already the highest-paid footballer in Saudi Arabia, with a salary of 200 million euro, plus another 60 in image rights.
With this contract extension, Ronaldo will remain the highest-paid footballer in the world and will earn 3.8 million euros per month and more than half a million euros per day.
Cristiano’s goal scoring performance has been extraordinary at Al Nassr having bagged 75 goals in his 84 games sporting the famous yellow jersey. Titles, have, however been hard to come by with his arrival coinciding with a spell of extreme dominance from city rivals Al Hilal. The veteran striker has only won one title with the Saudi club after Al Nassr won the 2023 Arab Club Championship.
