Inter Miami has officially announced its preseason schedule ahead of the 2025 MLS season and the CONCACAF Champions Cup. Lionel Messi and The Herons will face Olimpia (Honduras), Universitario (Peru), and Sporting San Miguelito (Panama), in addition to Club América and Orlando City, as part of new head coach Javier Mascherano’s preparations.
As part of their preseason tour, Inter Miami will travel to Peru, Panama, and Honduras, touring the Americas before kicking off their MLS and Concacaf Champions Cup campaigns.
When does Lionel Messi play next with Inter Miami?
The preseason kicks off on Saturday, January 18, with a match against Club América at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The Herons will then head to Peru to face Universitario, followed by trips to Central America, specifically Panama and Honduras, before returning to Florida.
Raúl Sanllehí, Inter Miami’s president of operations, emphasized that the goal of this preseason tour is to reach optimal performance levels ahead of a crucial year for the club.
“We’re very excited to unveil the five matches against domestic and international opponents across the Americas that will prepare us for a highly anticipated 2025. These fixtures will put us in the best possible position ahead of an unparalleled campaign with various competitions we’re playing for this year - the FIFA Club World Cup, CONCACAF Champions Cup, Leagues Cup and MLS,” Sanllehí explained in an Inter Miami statement.

- Inter Miami vs. Club América: January 18, 10:00 PM ET, Allegiant Stadium (Las Vegas).
- Inter Miami vs. Universitario Deportes: January 29, 8:00 PM ET, Estadio Monumental de Lima (Lima, Peru).
- Inter Miami vs. Sporting San Miguelito: February 2, 5:00 PM ET, Estadio Rommel Fernández (Panama City, Panama).
- Inter Miami vs. Olimpia: February 8, 8:00 PM ET, Estadio Olímpico Metropolitano (San Pedro Sula, Honduras).
- Inter Miami vs. Orlando City: February 14, 7:30 PM ET, Raymond James Stadium (Tampa, Florida).
When does the 2025 MLS season start?
The MLS regular season will get underway on Saturday, February 22, with Inter Miami hosting New York City FC in the opening game.
