Red Sox superstar third baseman has possibly changed his mind about switching positions

The Boston Red Sox have been targeting superstar Alex Bregman for a while to be their right-handed slugger, but they have a problem. He plays third base, which is currently occupied by Rafael Devers, who had no plan on moving. However, it seems he may be hinting at actually moving to DH to give Bregman his spot.

Last season, Bregman slashed .260/.315/.453/.768 with 30 doubles, and 26 home runs. Pairing him with Devers, who hit .272/.354/.516/.871 with 34 doubles, and 28 homers, the Sox would have a mean one-two punch in their batting order.

Another reason to give up third to Bregman is he is a much better defender than Devers. First, he won a Gold Glove, which Devers has never won. Second, Devers has 48 more errors than Bregman in their careers, and Devers has played a year less than Bregman.

If the Red Sox get Bregman, they would arguably be one of the best teams in the AL East. Hopefully, this is a real hint that Devers is ok with moving, and Bregman can take the hot corner. All that would be left is for the Sox to get a couple more relievers, and they’re back to the playoffs.
