The Packers enter their wild-card clash with the Eagles bandaged and bruised.

Green Bay is already down a pair of its leading lights: deep threat Christian Watson tore his ACL in the Packers' Week 18 joust with the Bears, while standout cornerback Jaire Alexander was placed on injured reserve after sustaining a PCL injury.

That's not ideal when the NFC's No. 2 seed is on the horizon. And yet injuries seem to beget injuries on the gridiron. Case in point: Jordan Love, who was also forced off the field against Chicago after falling victim to an awkward collision in the pocket.

Love's elbow — and the impact it has on his ability to throw the ball accurately — has drawn a lot of attention over the past few days. Here's the latest on Love's health ahead of Green Bay and Philadelphia's wild-card matchup on Sunday.

Is Jordan Love playing this week? Injury update for Packers' QB ahead of wild-card round

Love exited Green Bay's Week 18 duel with the Bears after suffering an elbow injury. He was ruled as questionable to return but failed to make another appearance as the Packers bowed out to their NFC North rivals, 24-22, sealing their fate as the No. 7 seed.

His absence initially looked to be cautionary, with head coach Matt LaFleur proclaiming that Love would be available for Green Bay's wild-card duel postgame. Love offered similar sentiments, revealing that he lost feeling in his throwing hand due to ailment but confirming his interest in facing off with the Eagles in the postseason.

He sounded decidedly less confident in his ability to suit up after Wednesday's practice. He told reporters that he was still experiencing soreness and pain in his elbow when he throws.

"We'll see. Yeah. I'm hopeful," Love said, via The Athletic.

LaFleur said that Love threw on a "limited basis" during Wednesday's practice. The Packers permitted reporters to attend Wednesday's warmups and team stretch but sent them home before individual drills. Media typically is allowed to view individual drills, as well, according to The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Tom Silverstein.

Love isn't the only Green Bay gunslinger felled by injury this week. Backup Malik Willis was also limited in Wednesday's practice after sustaining a wrist ailment of his own against Chicago.

Love's status is certain to wax and wane ahead of Saturday's wild card game, so check back here to see the latest news on Love's elbow issue.
