Much has been made of the future of Barcelona playmaker Dani Olmo. Olmo could become a free agent after Barcelona failed to complete their registration in time.
Despite conflicting reports about his future, several media outlets have claimed that several clubs in Europe are chasing the midfielder.
Now, a recent report from Jose Felix Diaz of fcb world suggests that as many as five European clubs are chasing Olmo. However, the journalist has clarified that these clubs are not Atletico Madrid or Real Madrid. This will come as a relief to Barcelona, who don't want their star player to join a direct rival.
The report adds that Olmo wants to stay in La Liga when he leaves Barcelona this month. It seems that he is looking for a new adventure elsewhere. Olmo remains calm about his situation and his priority is to stay at Barcelona.
There is no shortage of suitors, with several clubs, including Premier League giants Manchester United and Manchester City, keeping a close eye on his situation. His outstanding performances in the Bundesliga, La Liga and at last year's European Championship have led to the Premier League giants seeing him as a suitable addition to their squad.
Bayern Munich are also rumoured to be on the list of interested parties. Olmo has spent a lot of time in the Bundesliga, so he should have no problem adapting. Bayern are also interested in bringing the Spanish midfielder back to Germany.
However, this is all speculation and Barcelona have not given up their plans to sign either Olmo or Victor.
Today could be a crucial day, as Barcelona await the arrival of new funds that could help them return to Financial Fair Play.
