The German Football Association (DFB) announced on the 13th that Bayern midfielder Jamal Musiala has been selected as Germany's Player of the Year for 2024.

Fans were able to vote on the DFB website to determine the best player of the year for the German national team. After more than 145,000 votes, Musiala received 56% of the votes and was named the best player.

Musiala, who won the same award in 2022, played in 13 games this year and recorded five goals and five assists. At Euro 2024, which was held in Germany this summer, he scored three goals, joining England's forward Harry Kane and Spain's midfielder Dani Olmo as the tournament's top scorers. He was also the only German representative to be included in the tournament's best eleven.

In second place was Leverkusen midfielder Florian Wirths, who received 38% of the votes. In third place was Takehiro Tomiyasu and Arsenal teammate forward Kai Havertz (6%).
