When Casemiro stepped on the pitch at Portman Road last weekend, the midfielder hit the landmark of 100 appearances for Manchester United.
The game against Ipswich was another key moment in the career of the decorated midfielder, who became a Red in the summer of 2022.
Ahead of Sunday's Premier League match against Everton at Old Trafford, in what could be Casemiro's 102nd outing for United, we spoke to the Brazilian about his journey to a century of matches and his unwavering appreciation for our supporters.
In the feature interview, which will be released in full in Sunday's matchday programme, United Review, the 32-year-old explained how the Theatre of Dreams – and our fans who line the terraces of it – have a special place in his heart.
"Well, I was actually here for the Liverpool game," he said.
"I didn’t play, it was when I was presented at the stadium, so this moment was very special.
"Also, when I was 15 I played a tournament here, so whenever I look at it or enter the field of play it is always special. You can always feel the warmth from the fans and how they support us – this is something that has surprised me.
"I think it speaks for itself; it is a beautiful stadium and the fans make it even more beautiful still."
Casemiro has helped United to two trophies – the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup – during his time as a Red.
Success on the pitch is important to the five-time Champions League winner, who is keen to repay the love our fans have shown him ever since he arrived at Old Trafford.
"Since the first minute, I have felt at home," he said.
"Since the first day, stepping into Manchester Airport, I felt at home, I felt so good. So I just want to thank everyone for the love and support, and I want to repay this on the pitch.
"Everyone wants to win, but my thoughts when I step onto the field of play is to do my best, not just for me or my family, not just for the club, but for the fans. You always have to think of this.
"From day one, the love and support from the fans has been unique and special, it surprised me a lot. I value and enjoy every moment, as I feel so much affection for them."
