Manchester United defender Tyrell Malacia returned to action for the first time in 17 months as he played for the Under-21s in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy defeat at Huddersfield Town.
The Dutchman's previous appearance was in June 2023 having come on as a substitute in the Netherlands' Nations League final loss to Croatia.
The 25-year-old's last minutes for Man Utd were in May 2023.
Malacia has since been out with a knee injury and made his long-awaited return on Tuesday night at the John Smith's Stadium.
The ex-Feyenoord left-back played the first-half before being replaced by Harry Amass.
