The Rams have won two games since Sunday, and it seems like they never really wanted to trade receiver Cooper Kupp. They're still looking to trade cornerback Tre'Davious White.
If they can get the market moving.
On Saturday, ESPN reported that the Rams are open to trading White.
The veteran cornerback has a one-year, $4.25 million contract with the Rams. He's been out the past two weeks because Darious Williams came back from injured reserve.
White, who was a two-time Pro Bowler with the Bills in 2019 and 2020, signed with the Rams in April. He's made four starts this season.
One league source summed up the report by saying that the Rams seem to be trying to get the word out that White is available. If they change their mind, they can always say they never planned to trade him.
There's nothing wrong with using the media to create a trade market. Other teams have done the same thing. Ultimately, the ESPN report has made it clear that White is on the market as the trade deadline approaches.
