Manchester United are ready to sell Harry Maguire and have significantly lowered their asking price for the defender.
Maguire has dropped down the United pecking order over the last few seasons under Erik ten Hag. He was stripped of the captaincy last year, with Bruno Fernandes handed the armband in his place. The English defender was also linked with a move to West Ham during the summer of 2023, but a transfer did not materialise.
The Daily Star now reports the Red Devils will try to move on from the 31-year-old centre-back in the upcoming January transfer window and have significantly reduced their demands from £30 million ($38m, €36m) to £10 million ($13m, €12m).
Maguire's game-time has dwindled in recent seasons but he has been brought in from the cold in that time due to the club's various injury problems. However, he himself recently suffered a fresh injury during United's draw against Aston Villa earlier this month and is expected to remain sidelined for the next few weeks.
Ten Hag's side, who are winless in their last five outings across all competitions, will aim to get back on track on October 19 as they host Brentford at Old Trafford in the Premier League.
