Real Madrid may speed up Alexander-Arnold talks due to Carvajal injury ,as it is reported.
Real Madrid has been a real thorn in Liverpool's side in recent years. Liverpool was pretty disappointed by the losses in the Champions League finals in the 2017-18 and 2021-22 seasons. There have been rumours for months that Real Madrid is trying to poach Trent Alexander-Arnold from his boyhood club.
It seems like a done deal, especially now that Real Madrid right-back Dani Carvajal is out with a serious injury. Carvajal started in the ninth round of La Liga against Villarreal (2-0) on the 5th, but injured his right knee in a challenge near the end of the game and was carried off the court on a stretcher.
After the game, he posted on Instagram to say that he'd been diagnosed with an anterior cruciate ligament injury and that he'd be undergoing surgery. "I'll be out of action for a few months." The club's official website later revealed that Carvajal had torn his anterior cruciate ligament, lateral collateral ligament and hamstring tendon in his right foot and would be undergoing surgery soon.
On the 6th, Real Madrid announced that they'd renewed the contract with Spanish national team defender Daniel Carvajal. Although Real Madrid decided to renew his contract as a mark of respect and to protect his achievements, there are very few right-back options for them. The only right-back left in the true sense is Vazquez, who is one year older than Carvajal. Vallejo, Militao and even Camavinga aren't really right-backs, so Real Madrid is probably going to use the winter transfer window to bring Arnold to the Bernabeu Stadium.
As we mentioned before, Trent Alexander-Arnold's contract is up in 2025. So far, the right-back has turned down all the renewal offers and hasn't replied to the latest one. Real Madrid is keeping an eye on Trent Alexander-Arnold's contract with Liverpool. Liverpool isn't showing any willingness to sell at this stage, but the player's unclear attitude has left things a bit confused.
No one can grasp Arnold's future except himself.
