Arsenal put on a clinic against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Tuesday night, beating them 2-0 at the Emirates just days after securing a comeback win in the Premier League against Leicester. Saka was asked for his thoughts on the campaign in an interview after the match and the England international fully believes this is the year his side can dethrone Manchester City.
Speaking to Thierry Henry and the CBS Sports panel after the match, Saka said: "I don't want to put too much pressure on us but I do think this is the year. I think we have been close the last two years and we are getting closer but this hopefully will be the year."
Arsenal are still yet to lose this season and although they dropped points against Brighton, and Man City, are well on track to continue their title charge that has seen them come close in the last two years. They were by far and away the better team against Paris Saint-Germain, even without talisman Martin Odegaard.
Following their comfortable night in the Champions League, Arsenal will return to action on Saturday when they host Southampton at home. A win will put pressure on log leaders Liverpool and City.
