Early in the second half of the Gunners' opening European game of the season, Thomas Partey was adjudged to have fouled Ederson inside the Arsenal penalty area. However, Raya stepped up to deny Retegui from the spot before jumping back up to keep out the Italy international's headed rebound.
Raya has been in remarkable form already this season and has kept three clean sheets in the Premier League in just four games. Now, he has once again underlined his credentials as a superb starting goalkeeper for the Gunners.

@Arsenalnewschan said: "OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! What a double save from #Arsenal GK David Raya 🇪🇸!!It’s legendary goalkeeping! incredible."

@Welbeast said: "David Raya is HIM. Best goalkeeper in the Premier League."
Raya has only played in 10 Champions League games, including Thursday's clash with Atalanta, and has kept four clean sheets. He has also played in a penalty shootout in the competition, making two saves in a win over Porto.
Arsenal will return to domestic action this weekend against Manchester City. Raya will hope to produce an equally heroic performance there.
