Despite a late surge in the first leg, Corinthians' comeback was short-lived as they suffered their first Copa do Brasil defeat of the year.
As a result, they are in danger of crashing out of the quarter-finals if they fail to win this game, which would be their earliest exit from the competition since 2021 (third round).
Timao have won and drawn their two previous Copa do Brasil home games this year, and have not lost a Copa do Brasil match at the Corinthians Arena since 2021, when Atletico Goianiense beat them 2-0.
They may not be in the best of positions going into the game, but they are used to it, having come from behind to win their last four two-legged ties in the competition.
Ramon Diaz's men have won just one of their last six home games in all competitions, a 2-1 victory over Flamengo in their last outing at the Corinthians Arena earlier this month.
Timao have not been knocked out of the quarter-finals of this tournament since Cruzeiro knocked them out of the 2016 Copa do Brasil, 5-4 on aggregate.
Another strong attacking display from Juventude has put them on the cusp of their first ever semi-final appearance in this tournament.
Since their 0-0 draw with Iguatu in the first round, Jair Ventura's men have been much more clinical in the attacking third, scoring five times.
Despite their impressive run in this year's Copa do Brasil, their domestic form has been a different story, with just one point from their last three domestic fixtures.
Alviverde have not been eliminated from a Copa do Brasil tie after winning the first leg since 2012, when they squandered a 2-0 lead against Portuguesa and lost the second leg 4-0.
They have won just once in their last seven away games, beating Athletico Paranaense 2-1 in the Brasileiro Serie A last month.
Verdao are unbeaten in their last four meetings with Corinthians in all competitions, but have not beaten them away from home since a 2-1 Brasileiro Serie A win in 2004.
Corinthians possible starting lineup:
Souza; Matheuzinho, G. Henrique, Torres, Hugo; Raniele, Martinez; P. Henrique, Coronado, Garro; Alberto
Juventude possible starting lineup:
