'I want to go!' - Frustrated Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher confirms he wanted summer transfer

Kelleher has revealed his frustration at Liverpool rejecting bids for him in the summer, as they also struck a deal to sign Mamardashvili, although he will not join the club until next summer. Nevertheless, the Republic of Ireland international has suggested that he will soon seek a move after being left unimpressed by the club's decision to reject a bid from Nottingham Forest for him.
Kelleher, 25, has made a total of 47 first-team appearances for Liverpool, but they have come in dribs and drabs. Last season, he played in 10 Premier League games and is likely to face a similarly reduced role this season behind Alisson.
Kelleher told reporters: "I made it clear in the last few years that I want to go somewhere and be a number one. The club has made that decision to get a goalkeeper (Mamardashvili) which makes it look like they’ve made a decision to go in another direction. Liverpool have rejected a few bids as well. It’s not always in my hands to fully make the decision. My ambition is clear. I’m good enough and I want to go and play week in, week out."
Kelleher is only likely to receive an opportunity under Arne Slot if Alisson is injured, or if Liverpool embark on a deep run in either the Carabao Cup or FA Cup. In January, he may well look to move on.
