The team from Bilbao has had a disappointing start to the new season. Despite managing to keep their star player Nico Williams, who Barcelona has been pursuing until the last moment, their results in the first two matches leave much to be desired.

The Basques began the season with a home draw against Getafe, and last weekend they lost away to Barcelona. Notably, Athletic scored in both matches, and it was the same player, Oihan Sancet, who found the back of the net.

Valencia also has little to be happy about so far. Their opponents in the first two rounds were similar in strength to those faced by Athletic.

In their first game, the Levantines lost to Barcelona, and in the last match, they couldn't put up much of a fight against Celta. Valencia scored first in the game in Vigo, but then conceded three goals.
