Le Havre and Marseille will face off in a crucial clash on Saturday evening, a game with major implications for both ends of the Ligue 1 table. The hosts go into this game coming off a dramatic and potentially crucial win last weekend, with Marseille still in pole position for Champions League qualification.

The hosts are still in the relegation play-offs, with two very tough games coming up against Marseille and Strasbourg at the end of the season, but they are just one point away from safety and two points adrift of 13th. Reims, Nantes and Saint-Etienne all face more favourable games over the next two weekends, but if Le Havre can pick up their 10th Ligue 1 win of the season (something they haven't managed since the 2002-03 season), it will be enough.

History suggests they will struggle to come away with a win in this fixture, however, as Le Havre have not won any of their last 21 Ligue 1 games against Marseille - their longest winning streak against a single opponent. If that streak extends to 22 games, Marseille will have set a record for their longest unbeaten run against a single opponent, and with wins on their last three visits to the Stade de la Marine, they could become just the third club in top flight history to go four straight unbeaten at the stadium.

The race for Champions League football is just as intense as the battle for the bottom spot, with Marseille still favourites to secure one of the two remaining automatic league spots. Roberto De Zerbi's side only managed a draw at Lille last weekend, throwing away a late lead, but on paper they are still second in the Ligue 1 table. Marseille are favourites to finish in the top three, but there's still a good chance they'll make the playoffs, or miss out on the top four entirely, as the gap between second and sixth is just two points.

The visitors need to pray that their attacking form can be maintained, as no team in this division has managed to keep a clean sheet for long, with Marseille having managed one in each of their last eight games. However, Marseille is the only club in Ligue 1 this season, apart from champions PSG, to score more than two goals per game, so this can usually make up for their shaky defence.

Le Havre predicted starting lineup:

Gorzhilin; Nego, Kincouet, Sangant, Ballo-Toure; Mwanga, Toure, Keshita; Diawara, Ayew, Soumare

Marseille predicted starting lineup:

Rulli; Murillo, Baledi, Kondogbia, Garcia; Bennacer, Hojbjerg, Rabiot; Greenwood, Guiri, Luis Enrique
